Design for Victoria Park Multi Purpose Facility
The curved roof reflects the gentle curves of the volcanic hills of the district. The roof shape provides a North facing curved platform to optimise the collection angles for solar. hot water and photovoltaic panels on the roof. The principles of passive solar design have been observed for summer shade and winter light and heat gain.
The design principles: create an aesthetically pleasing and environmentally sustainable community facility that is fully functional throughout the year.
